Battery Relocation

How important is it to have 2 gauge wire for the relocation. I am using 4 gauge wire. I do not have an A/C or cruise control. Can I get away with it.

If it starts as easily and quickly as it did before, 4 gauge will be just fine. When you're driving, the power comes from the alternator not the battery.
