Default alignment

a quick question from the guys that know their suspension.

im thinking of getting my car aligned and was wonder what is a good specs.
for the rear im wanting to get zero toe. how about front? what will toe in or
toe out do as far as handling and how the car will turn. im looking in a repair
manual and the fron toe in is 1+- 2mm (1/16in + or - 1/16in) seems a quite bit.

how about caster? will this affect any in the handling department?

thanks for your knowledge.
