3rd Annual Snowshoe Hillclimb registration is OPEN!
We are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 3rd Annual Snowshoe Hillclimb on July 21-23, 2006. We are expecting tremendous turnout and have added a 1 day Car Show on Saturday for those of you who want to come join the fun but don't feel ready to scream up the mountain roads at adrenaline pumping speeds!
This year we are limiting the number of entries to make sure we have a fun and safe event, we are expecting a wonderful turnout for all facets of the event.
Here is a short synapsis of the schedule:
Friday
5-9pm Racecar/Show car display in downtown Snowshoe
Saturday
8a-5p Racing up the mountain / Car show in Downtown Snowshoe
6pm Snowshoe Hillclimb Banquet with Awards and Sponsor Raffle
9pm "Drive In Movie" Downtown Snowshoe
Sunday
8a-4p Racing up the mountain
4:30p Awards ceremony for the Racers/Spectators
Snowshoe Mountain resort has an indoor water park, mountain biking, hiking, chair lifts, and many, many fine dining and shopping adventures for the whole family, not to mention that the view from the Paddock is breath taking!
Go to http://www.SnowshoeHillclimb.com for details about registering, hotels and directions. See you all on the Mountain!

I'm getting:
"Error downloading codec"
DIVX is installed, but the video isn't playing - what format/compression was used? This is on an XP Pro workstation. Dan got the same error, not sure if he has the DIVX codecs isntalled or not.

Re: (Crack Monkey)
A few questions...
- on the web page, it indicates all cars must meet CCR regs for racing safety. However, the general NASA TT rules indicate HPDE safety rules are sufficient. Will a 4pt rollbar be sufficient?
- what personal safety gear is required? Nomex, or is long cotton sufficient?
- NASA TT rules state drivers must have completed HPDE4 - in the MA, this is the instructor group. Is this correct, or should it read HPDE3?

I don't think it is Divx coded - I used Windows Media Player -

Sure, as long as it meets the requirements for the cage capacities - size of tubing, etc. for the weight of your car.

- Hillclimbing is really a tarmac rally - you'll need:
> Rollbar that neets CCR specs for the weight of your car
> Fireproof Driving Suit
> Fireproof Shoes
> Fireproof Gloves
> SA00 Helmet or better
> Fire extinguisher or fire bottle in the car

- For Hillclimbs we are allowing anyone who has been in at least two(2) HPDE 2 sessions and been signed off to drive solo.

Jim, that is not my car, I was in the blue Impreza #517. My Subaru has pretty much been retired from competition although I have been planning a comeback.
That is Jerrys Impreza from Deadbolt/Boxer4racing.
I will be away that week on vacation with my family. My grandmother needs help spending her money but she won't support my racing so I have to go about getting it other ways.
