2002 Challange
Who's going to the Grassroots Motorsports 2002 Challange ???
I'm taking an '89 Civic. The engine is a combonation of parts that were laying around the shop. The trans is 88 si. Power steering off an 89 Civic wagon.
Goodrich R1's on 13x8 Kaiser wheels for solo2. MT drag slicks for the drag race .
A new 5 pt. harness. A roll cage. New yellow paint. Lots of decals. All this and i'm still under $2002.
O.K. guys, whos going and what are you taking?????

Re: 2002 Challange (autorex)
I'm not sure if my local region is doing it again this year or not. Last year we entered the 323 GTX. It still runs too, they even did a rally cross w/ it a few months ago

Re: 2002 Challange (obd1canobie)
I'm gonna try to keep the Conquest under $2002.
If I do, then it'll have this:
Motor: Balance shaft eliminated, boost cranked to 15psi, new rings, some head work, probably a performance cam w/ springs. Eclipse BOV, (If I'm still enough under $2002, then an OVC intake w/ HKS BOV)
Suspension and brakes: Possibly lowered (still debating), Porterfield R4 Carbon Kevlar more than likely, and SS brake lines.
Stock 16x9 out back, 16x8 up front, tires will be the goodyears that are on it now. (Unless someone wants to donate!)
