"Hi" to all of my WCHC & H-T buddies
Some of you know me and many of you don't. I jutst wanted to take a moment to say hi. It has been about 1.5 months since I left the good ol USA. In General, I have been working and getting the family settled in. I have an apartment in a very nice Tokyo area. The place came with a parking space, so that means I can get a car. (parking is usually an extra $200-400 per month). It has been about 4 months since my last race. I tell ya, I miss it. I had a chance the other day to drive a car. That little freedom, which I had taken for granted, felt so good.
Over the weekend I was at Twin Ring Motegi watching the JGTC and the support races. While watching, I felt this huge urge to drive a car. After the day was over, I drove an AE86 Trueno around the countryside. That made my month. It was fun driving in the left side of the road from the right hand side of the car.
BTW, The support races for the JGTC were very interesting to watch. There were 3 series and they were all one make series. (Or in US English spec series) There was the Altezza series, Nissan March series and the Integra Type R series (RSX).
Well that is all. Greg

James desu, but you can call me jealous.
I recently raced with some your N.Cal boys at Thunderhill.
In the last couple of years i have gone to Japan several times.
Every trip is for a inlaw function (weddings). Not once did any of the times fall next to a race weekend. I would check the schedule online and nothing. I always wanted to see a JGTC race and the Integra one make race. We did go to Motegi once, since it is only 2 hrs. north of my inlaws house. We were a little lucky, there was a track day. I saw the new Civic Type-R, Integra Type-R, NSX and so on. I am sure it doesn't compare to seeing an actual race. Driving on the wrong side is alot of fun. Hopefully you will get a chance to drive at a Gymkana track. Driving around and racing around (on the wrong side) are two different things. At least to me.
A clip from my Motegi trip.(you'll need quicktime)

Are you talking about that show on TNN that shows Japanese going through outrageous and funny obstacle courses? If it is the same one I am thinking of, that show is like from the 80's.
