Default The "Affordable" Azenis not so affordable anymore

Sheesh. Need new shoes for the Miata, and the best I can find for a set of Azenis is 73 bucks a tire. Once upon a time, they were 54. Guess the word is out.

Good place too... I've ordered from them several times. I've had very good experiences ordering from them and dealing with their customer service.

the best way is to special order them from your local tire shop(i.e. NTB),

i paid $54 a piece plus shipping from the internet.
mounting and balancing $7 + $11.

vs.

NTB sells them for $61 a piece.
no shipping charges.
mounting and balancing included.

hope this helps.

not all NTB's are the same. I asked a local one around my area and they said $100/tire.

Me too.

15" for $56 SHIPPED.

There was talk of another identical discount tire 'group buy' like this again, except honda-tech would be in on it. I think they said July or something. That probably doesn't help if you need tires now.

Hey y'all, around here we (the THSCC crowd) got a group buy hooked up with our local Discount Tire Direct for like 55 bucks a tire. Your mileage may vary if you try to put something together like this with your local Discount Tire, but it's worth asking.

Never seen them any where close to $54/each (that musta been in the early days). I've paid right around $70 each of the two times I've had to make a purchase. Let us know if you find any deals out there.

Casey, who wonders why Chris is putting Azenis on the Me-otter....

If there is a group buy on Azenis in NC, I'll drive up there to pick 'em up. I need 215/45/ZR16s.

Definetly lookup your local tire stores (discount tire, etc), they will almost always beat any online price and give you a deal for mounting/balancing.

thats a better price, but for me (and probably a lot of people) it ends up within 10$ to buy them there and pay shipping VS paying the 72$ each plus tax.

Yeah the cost on them has gone up. I guess Falken sees the huge demand and has bumped prices up a bit.

Don't forget that in most of America it is high season for new performace tires! I've heard of a few places backordered on the popular sizes...no surprise then that someone can get an extra $5 a tire....

You'll probably have a better chance on a group buy or some other discount in November when the dealers are looking at a long winter....

I bought my 14's from Discount a couple months ago at the $51 price, so they seem to have held steady at least.

Just my 2 cents.

Discount Tire is my only tire store I'll goto. The guys up in Ormond Beach Fl store have done me great service over the last 2 years I've be dealing with them. Hell the last time I went there they spun balanced and fixed a nail in my Azenis for FREE!! I just orders some Goodyear F1 GS-D3s from Tirerack and even now that I'm in Orlando, I'll be driving the 60 miles back up to Ormond Beach so Pat and his crew can mount my tires. I'm not looking for a free deal again but with service like that I'll drive the mileage to give them my $40.

Bah. NTB won't mount tires I purchased elsewhere. I get mixed signals from them, they mounted once, one time they said they would and then when I got there, wouldn't, other times they just plain said no.

NTB = Sears = crooks. I go to Walmart now.
