I'm in the middle of deciding what to do with my 98 4DR LX... I was hit in my front passenger quarter panel totaling my bumper, hood, front quarter panel, windshield and front passenger door. I don't have alot of money so I've been trying to find a rolling shell with a straight frame to swap my motor and transmission with. I found a 96 EX V-TEC and am about to buy it. It has a spun bearing, so it needs new bearings, main rod, and the crank either needs to be replaced or turned. I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not I can replace the bearings, rod and crank on the EX with the ones from my LX. I only ask this because I would like to keep the V-TEC instead of swapping the entire engine for my dinky 106 hp d16. Any ideas?
