Default Will this prevent rust?

I have an idea. I have a 91 ef sedan. It has very little rust but it is starting to rust (as they all do) in the rear lower door jam quarter panel area. It seems to be rusting from the inside out.

If I put a grease fitting in the inner wheel well behind this area and pumped in say... 5 tubes of grease until it is completely packed with grease, would that prevent rust?

Uh, you need to remove the rust first.

Why? Wouldn't the grease prevent further oxidation? Isn't grease a rust deterent like most oils? I just wanna know if this would work....

grease won't cure rust. It's just going to get worse and worse. Nickname for rust in a body shop is "Cancer" you can't just throw something on it and expect it to disappear. It'll just spread and get worse, so you'll need to completely sand away the rust before fixing that area

I think it would better to cut that piece and weld it. I think there a paint that can block the moisture from coming into the metal. Have anyone here try pro 15? Cutting and welding would be the best way to stop rust.

You need to remove the rust then use something like Rust bullet to prevent any spread. Grease will slow the spreading but the damage is already done.
