Default Strip Paint from Polyurethane?

Ok i just bought a Polyurethane Spoon Lip from a HT Member and when it got to me it turned out to be Painted? dont know why cuz its a black lip originally but was painted with black Oh well i aint mad...

Anyways In process of shipping the paint got horribly cracked and i was just gonna sand what i can then repaint with duplicolor bumper/trim black but i REALLY would rather remove the paint completely and have it the original black since i see no need for paint on this peice...
I Started sanding and realize the paints kinda thick and its gonna take a while to remove by hand...
What i need to know is the any type of automotive Paint Stripper like "Aircraft" but safe for Polyurethane???

I used aircraft striper on my bike fairings and on my bumper before. It works in some spots, other spots paint just needed to be sanded. The polyurethane does kind of melt a little. Your better off sanding it down and trim paint.

Home Depot sells a "Varnish Stripper/Remover" that is used for getting lacquer and stain off of wood. It should be gentle enough to not harm the plastic, but strong enough to take the paint off AND it's only like 5 bucks for a quart which is more than enough to do it. But make sure you test it on an inconspicuous area just in case. Good luck

There are bumper strippers available in spray cans from a couple different companies... SEM has one that would probably be my best bet.
