use the screw on inline filters. Like $8 for 2. And get some cheap furnace filters for your windows and a box fan for the other window. So it draws in clean air and sucks out the fumes on the other end

I was wondering about ventilation myself, wouldn't a fan blow any particles that are present around? I mean especially if you don't have a filtered fresh air source? I'm doing the same thing.... sorry for the thread jack.

READ WHAT I WROTE ABOVE YOU. Clean air will be drawn in through furnace filters and the fumes will be sucked out by the fan

Sorry I didn't see that somehow but it still doen't help for the people that don't have a pristine environment because the air movement will stir things up.

i agree with precision but you mught want to at least hose out the entire inside garage like anything above you. Painting causes alot of air to be moved around the las thing you want is some dust falling into your paint before it flashes over and messes up your hard work

i've heard of people cleaning their gargage out, spray it with a hose, put plastic down on the floor and wet it down again just as alittle added protection, and yes putting a fan in the window will work without kicking up too much stuff in the air, the spray gun puts out more air then the fan

if u do do it in ur garage FIRST OFF make sure there is noo open flame suck as water heater and yes i see that yours is a detatched garage this is just for anyone who comes through here lookin for info open the door just slightly to create a natural cross draft idle would be down draft but thats a whole other thing and the fans and wetting floor is good advice good luck

good thinking, open flame would be a bad idea for sure. i know a guy who's both shorted and caught fire, holy hell is he one ugly bastard now. don't need that to happen to anyone else
