Default rust spot

ok this isnn't for a honda but had a question.

the sunroof of my dad's van. the sunroof when u slide it open, on the side is starting to rust. seems like it has rusted a hole thru and is leakng. the headlner is wet and startting to leak...it has been some heavy rain in the last week. so yea. is there any way to temp fix this. some kind of bondo to save it? or is there only way to fix is weld sheet metal?

If you want to temp fix it, just shove a rag in there and duct tape it shut.

And of course, you guessed it, if you want to fix it correctly, you have to cut out all of the bad metal and weld in a new piece.

If you start glopping bondo on there, it's going to be a pain in the *** to get it out after wards. And it's not going to stop the rust.
