Hey all, I currently have this chipped, faded clear coat on my carbon fiber hood. I am thinking of spray it with a new coat using the spray can since last time, I sanded down and have the shop did it for $150 buck that lasted a year. My question is should I use paint stripper to remove the clear coat or sand it down again? Is it a good idea to use the spray can? I'm not very good so for sure the quality is gonna be ugly, but at least it better than chipped and faded look.

 

dnt you paint stripper....scuff the hood up take the shine off it...with chip wet sand them so they are smooth and you can feel anythign

 

paint stripper will ruin your hood. Like shocker911 mentioned, all you have to do is scuff the hood up and then you can just reclear it again
