i recently bought a del sol from a friend, and it was hit on the passenger side quarter panel. anyone have a good idea on fixing it? was thinking about just cutting it out and having someone weld in a new piece, as the damage isnt in that large of an area.

 

No one seems to make a del sol patch panel like they do for the civics, and the civic isnt really close enough to just buy that panel and weld it in.

I suggest getting a cut from a junkyard rear quarter and having it put in

Dont cut it out then show up at a body shop. Let the shop cut it out so they can decide how much they want to remove and how they want to attach the replacement panel
