well here is a saturday update got a lot done last night and so far this morning!!!

here is what the doors look like after the paint stripper and light sanding:


a light coat of self etching primer before the actual primer:


i took as much of the factory seam sealer off:-BEFORE


this is after:

i did this around th hole door its just to give an idea of the detail we are putting into the build, it will be replaced with 3m's tape on seam sealer its way nicer than factory!

first coat of primer:


2nd and 3rd coat, it was a tad chilly 65degree in the shop so i dusted off the heat lamps:


the rest of the day will be spent knocking up the sound deading material, front end is ordered and will be here monday so ill test fit that probably tuesday. going to try to knock out the passenger side patch today as well.

heres where i left off saturday got the doors all smoothed out.

drivers door in primer and guide coat before blocking:

drivers door need a lot more loving than i could feel thats for sure:



passenger door was very good:-senior armando is the man when it come to working bondo!!!! BAR-NONE



drivers door had to get a entire coat of metal glaze:


i didnt take any pictures of the final coat sanded but ill get some up later today or tomorrow. front end should be on and fitted tuesday if mr.egCoupe comes to lend a hand

thanks a lot!!! yes i am going for a SUPER MINT street car when i am done. i am however on a budget so please dont expect 2k in wheels and 1500 in seat when assembly time comes around. hahaha but the detail will me 1000% percent

strip it, sanding is a waste of time. the only extra stey it etching primer, if you sand you have to prime anyways or at least you should. it was the most effective thing i have done on the build!!! while it was stripping, i was working on something else.
