I take a dremel and drill a hole at the end of the crack to stop it from spreading, then v groove the crack (both sides) so there is a little gap. then sand both sides with 60 grit and then use duramix on both sides and on the back fiberglass mesh tape to hold it all together and on the paint just fill the v groove. let dry sand, little light wieght bondo and sand and paint. cound have done in a day, hope that kinda pointed you in the rite derection.

Thanks brotha, was looking at 3M stuff. Just didn't know what to go with. They have like a thousand plastic repairs. Cool now I have the concept. You wouldn't believe it, but I work at a body shop, but the mechanics there at Chevy are asses so I don't bother asking.
Thanks
