Primer before Base/Clear?
So I just finished sanding off all the flat black spray paint off my project Integra and am now left with the stock white paint minus the clear coat. Everywhere that I filled in dings and sanded to the bare metal I primed over with self-etching primer. I then sanded the whole care with 400 grit. Here's the question:
Do I need to prime the entire car? Some people have said that it's essential while others have said that the factory base will provide a good surface for the paint to adhere to. I will be spraying a urethane (I think) base/clear and I have already sprayed the bay and jams with a urethane single stage. Thanks!

no you don't need to primer the whole car. The base coat will act as a primer. The only thing you need to primer are parts where you use body filler or where there's bare metal. Be sure to use 2k urethane primer and don't forget to dry sand, then wet sand the area you sprayed the primer onto. I normally use 180 dry, then 400-600 wet
