Default Prepping help??

My car has 2 coats of paint on it, with the second layed over the stock paint, ive gotten everything down to a flat surface with 400 grit and i have primed the car.

should i now go over it with 800 wet and re prime then 1000 wet and paint?

Did you prime it with a sealer or a filler primer? If you just put down a regular sealer primer you can just go over it with a scuff pad (or even 1000 grit). If you put down a primer filler then I would suggest wet sanding with 600 or 800 (I prefer 800), then wash it off, dry it, then spray it with a sealer primer, after that dries do BC/CC.
