Its not the paint or mixture, its the gun. Probably has a nozzle for thick primer, it will basically spatter the paint onto the panels instead of a uniform spray, which is why you have so much orange peel. How many coats of clear did you use? Hope you used a lot, cause you wont be able to make it look very good. Either way, it would take forever to sand the whole car enough to get rid of the orange peel.

The car seems to be totally damaged...it seems you have not taken proper care of it....first it is needed to be repaired properly then think of removing orange peel.....

Might have missed it, but did you say what size tip you used? I think pyschoteen is on to something there.

Yea cause ive experienced this before. Same thing happened when i used a tip for a heavier primer. Epoxy primer is thicker, so a larger diameter tip is used. If you use a smaller tip for thick primer, it will clog the gun, if you use the large tip for paint and clear, you will get that spatter effecct and have a rediculous ammount of orange peel like what you have.

rule of thumb is usually 1.2mm-1.4mm

Depends on the gun and depends on the material. Any automotive paint store will be able to determine what nozzle size would be best for your situation.

That post kinda of contradicted yourself. If there isnt enough coats, in his case that would mean no less than 3 or 4 coats, then it is not fixable.
