Have you tried using pre cleano its a cleaner for prepping the area for paint now if you use it might take it off then you just wax it to bring shine back or you could try a clay bar which removes this kind of stuff on paint

Buy a rattlecan of your car's paint code and recover that.

Do not spray over it to cover it up. That's horrible advice. If its a factory finish you can take laquor thinner, put it on a rag and rub it off. Or rub it down with a wet clay bar. Or buff it with heavy cut compound. Any of these will work. Start with a clay bar. That's your best option.

I noticed your fairly new, check out this thread. Trying to get the paint maintenance/correction knowledge out there. Also trying to learn some different tips from others.

If you're car has enough clear coat on it you can wet sand it with 1500 or 2000 then with a 3000 soft pad and a 5000 soft pad. Depending on whether your car is a single stage or base-clear paint job you should have enough to cut it down to get the over spray off and then rebuff it. This would be the correct way to do it being so that I do it everyday at work.

I would start with clay bar... Cutting and buffing should be your last resort
