I wanna wetsand my clear coats cause of oxidation i was wondering can i use this
and polishing compound to buff out the sanding marks?

 

No, generally those things suck imo. They can spread wax but thats about it.

A rotary w/ adjustable trigger is the way to go, but your going to have to deal with the learning curve. Smaller spots/single panel you can use a high rpm orbital (not what's pictured above) on must clears but for buffing out wet sanding on a large area or whole car the rotary is faster.

 

Will it work? Yes

Is it efficient? NO

You will spend almost triple the time and probably not get as good results as a rotary polisher. The orbital buffer is more for the weekend car guy who wants to wax his car and get out tiny imperfections.

If you are wetsanding, you should really be using the rotary. You are basically "burning" the paint back to a shine. An orbital buffer does not create enough friction for a nice shine.

and BTW ..... i have tryed the orbital buffers before........ your hands will be numb after 10 mins of use because they vibrate, not spin
