Default Need help with paint prep work

Ok so i bought a eg shell and the car looks like its been resprayed
The car under the over spray is yellow and know its blue the body
Is stright and i want to sand it down but what do i sand down with
Grit n how do i go about doing it ive done some body work on friends
Cars but with original coats not 2-3 over sprays

you're in the paint and body forum. and you couldnt search or find one thread that could help you out?... then you're better off paying someone else to do it.

and oh look! a sticky thread that tells you exactly what to do. amazing!

still you dont need to be a dick, why input if its not helpful? wouldn't you want a good answer rather than someone being a complete jack***

Anything that is not masked off will be painted so carefully remove front wind shield trim, both quarter panel glasses and every trim you can possibly remove. After this Wetsand the whole vehicle.After this step you needs to primer it and let it dry for 3-4 days. After that wetsand it again to make it smooth.
Now you can tape everything up again and shoot it and please do not forget to wetsand (2000 g.) and buff. Now you can polish and wash it afterwards

tape off all your trip or if you can remove it. (windows, door handles, etc.)
sand car with 320
MAKE sure you clean car with proper cleaners to remove dust and greases
seal car
paint car
clear car
cut and buff car.

seeing as i can tell you have never done this try on a fender before you ruin the entire car. keep a steady pace and same distance from the part.

Show u guys what im working with seems like they
Just sanded with 400 wet and then painted it "macco"
Lol so its kinda ugly but i want this to be really nice so
Will take my time fursure

Yes ive tried this ive painted a car b4 that didnt hav 2 coats on
Tho and i bought a door to try all my techniqes to see how good
Its gona come out but as of know i hav it down to bare metal and
I dont plan on doing this to my hole car its a pain only the door
Took me 2 days to strip right ill show u guys how the door comes
