i was plannin on getting my car painted. and i was thinking bout primering it myself b4 i take it to the shop. but there are hella little dings all over my car. would it be cheaper if i primer it myself then take it to the shop to paint and pop out all the dings?

If anything I would say more expensive. They would just remove the primered areas, fix the dings, then re-prime the areas. The best way to go about it would be to fix the dings first.
