Default multiple clear coats

i wanna know what it would do to the look of the paint if you did like double the amount of clear coats on a paint job. im gonna have my teal hatch wetsanded down and re sprayed and then depending on how this would affect it, i might do this. pics would be nice, i tried searching

Thats stupid to do building a lot of mils in the clear will eventually chip right off.I seen it happen right on my own eyes.Just get a really good gun that atomizes good and have the appropriate air pressure set and shoot 3 wet coats of clear and your good.Good luck

couldent of put it any better, I usually put 3-4 good coats of clear and call it a day...

3-4 coats max, the more material you build up, the weaker and less flat it will become. If your not happy with it,cut and buff your car and get it looking good, theres no point in reclearing it unless theres just tons of screw ups in the finish.

just painted my integra. when i cleared i put down about 3-4 coats which is plenty.
