is it logical to do it myself?
i just got some sides and a front lip, should i buy spray paint and do it myself?
they are both pre painted already but i want to paint black over them.
Whta type of paint would you reccomend? Something glossy?
I dont think its reasonable to pay 400 bucks to paint 3 sides...

Just go the rustoleum route, as so many others have done in the $50 paintjob thread.
You can get a quart for $8, which will be more than enough to do sides and a lip. Gloss black or flat black, take your pick.

oh wow seems like a lot of work... i was just hoping i can buy a spray can of the night hawk and paint it? doesnt work that way?
if i bring it to a shop, will they have the exact color that honda uses? I have a black car, im afraid the shop'sblack might be different than night hawk black...
shops color match atleats the shop that I was at if they were off by a noticable amount they would remake the color but try to get it just right
any decent paint shop will be able to take a reading from your paint and get a very close match. may not be perfect.
if you are looking to match your paint and look good i would definately say take it to a body shop.
one thing you might check into, i don't know if there are any tech schools around you that teach autobody. but i know when i was going for autobody we would spray peoples stuff cheap or even free just to get practice. might be worth checking into if you're not worried about it being perfect
