Default Light front end damage

My buddy recently pushed back his rad support on his eg hatch not to bad but bad enough that the hood cant close (cf hood flexed but never cracked). Long story short he bought a replacement rad support (AM) and gave me the car to see if I can fix it, I've never done rad support replacement but I gave it a shot. I drilled out the spot welds and got the support off and when mocking up the new one I noticed that I could line it up one the one sides frame rail but the other side is just out of reach by no more then 3/4 of an inch. Any ideas on what I could do to get it in place? My other friend suggested using tow straps and strapping the front end tight till it fit but I'd rather not do that. Thanks for any helpful input.

Is the car frame bent or does the rad support not fit (poor quality)?

The frame rail doesn't look bent whatsoever. It might be the rad support. I managed to force it into place and bolt it down but I'm not sure if it's supposed to just slip right on or you need to give it a little force. I put the bumper and fenders on and everything looks like it lines up besides the gap between the bumper and hood (not overhang) so idk

it should slip right on.. before doing this you need to find out if its poor quality or if the frame is bent.. if the frame is bent you will need to have it bent back properly, or atleast do it yourself to spec.. take measurements off an eg that you know is straight and compare it

ok the measurements check out and I bolted everything on. Didn't spot weld the rad support to see how everything looked the hood and fenders have no gap in between but theres a gap between the hood and the bumper of about 3/4th of an inch. It's not an overhang its just a straight gap. This is after I lowered the hood latch down as far as it could go and the gap still remains. I also adjusted those little rubber stops but nothing is helping. I'm beginning to believe it is the rad support.

the rubber stops AREN'T an adjustment.. they are there to hold your hood still so its not rattling down the road.. try adjusting your hood latch, that is how you make that kind of adjustment.. how are the gaps from the hood to fenders. are they even?

on an eg, i THiNK(?) some hood to bumper gap is normal, i could be wrong though, but im pretty sure.. you have any pictures btw?

Sounds like a poor quality replacement. Try finding a junked eg and cut the rad support off

what parts are aftermarket? it may just be that they're poor quality. 90% of the time aftermarket body panels don't line up right without adjustments
