Ok so my EG hatch got keyed a few weeks ago, after receiving a fresh new paintjob 3 months ago

Some little punk decided to go from 1 end of the car to the other.

Anyway the key marks are pretty deep in some areas, i have tried cut and polishing it but it didnt help much. I was wondering if anyone had any past experiences and advice.

Well the only experience I've had with key scratches is repairing them at our shop, and it gets expensive. We did a Taurus that was keyed from the hood the whole way around the car on every panel except the roof, it was damn near a $3k job. It'll most likely need to be painted again, turn it in to your insurance as a comprehensive claim, that's my only advice.

 

sell it and buy a CRX

 

PITA. you may get away with just sanding the clear down, but if the scratched got into the base you will need to respray the car.

you can feather the key marks out then prime them try to keep them small blend in your color and reclear hate that happen to you punks..
