Default interior options

im new to this site, and so far i like what i see. but i do have a question for anyone who would like to help me out. i have a green 00 civic dx coupe, that has the grey int panels and dash, which im not too crazy about. ive seen on here a couple of times where people have pulled their dash or door panels and what not, and was wondering if thats a good option to do if i want my interior to be black. ive called local junk yards, in particular, one that deals with imports, but they only have grey interiors. so my question is, is it worth to pull the pieces out and paint them, and if so whats the best product, or try and find a complete black int and just replace those pieces? any help would be appreciated!

96-00 Civic's didn't have black interior in the US so you are out of luck there. Dying the soft panels turns out fairly well, I've done a few hard panels and they came out well as well, but I'm not sure if I'd do it myself. As for product I'd go with SEM Color Coat, it's a dye and works remarkably.

thanks for the advice. any idea on how much that costs/can? would it be something that any joe schmo could pull off and it look decent or should i get someone whos done it before to do it for me? ive known a few people whove done it and it looks good, so should i see about them doing it rather than me?

IMO, I think you shouldn't...

1. Grey is way better than tan (like I had in my Integra)...

2. Grey and black, I know they are not the same, but close enough...

3. Not to be an ***, but you might mess something up and kick yourself for doing it...
