Hey guys, have been looking for a 6th gen civic for a while now. I’m looking at this one and it looks to have a minor dent/ crash at the rear wheel fender. How serious does this look? And around how much do you guys think a shop would charge if it’s even fixable? And also is the thing underneath it the fender lining?
More than the car is worth. Being a snow area that arch is probably full of rust too. Looks like there is some rust bubbling through the paint just rear of the arch above the bumper cover.
depends on labor rate...in which, depends on location.
also depends on how you would like to get it fixed. fixing properly will require removal of:
1/4 molding, 1/4 glass, roof molding, tail lamp, rear bumper, rocker molding.
front windshield and back glass will be roped for refinish access.
roof rail will need to be cleared, with the possibility of blending into door (can not see how far damage extends to).
I am a writer in San Francisco, CA. with the labor rates here, yes, damages will cost more than vehicle value
my suggestion is to bring it to a body shop to have an estimate completed.
call a few PDR guy for quotes. If the area is rusted, PDR techs wont touch it
