yeah but im looking for a way to go about doing this. i cant find a write up anywhere, i know its like low mig amperage to not warp the thin metal but thats all i know so far. something more in depth would be nice as im not too skilled with a welder

From a hilarious night with my friend trying to JB Weld a hole in his trunk, I wouldn't advise it, just a pain in the *** and doesn't clean up well IMO. Bondo or weld.

you'll prolly warp the lid welding it. gluing metal in would be the best option. any metal to metal panel bond should work fine.

thats what im worried about, if i use mig though - on a really low amperage and a thin wire width do you think it'll warp? quick and short spot welds or something, then spray with water and weld again so it doesnt heat too much?
