Default HOK Kandy

I was wondering if anyone in here has their car paint HOK Kandy?? I'm looking to paint my car within 2 weeks, and would like to hear everybody's opinion. Pics would really help me out. TIA.

Best way to find Kandy Kolors, is to search photos of cutoms hot rods, there's alot more of them then Kandy imports, typically because full color changes on imports isn't that common versus full restorations that REQUIRE full repaints. Also, some paint shops, not body shops, should have the full HOK chip line.

Just check your local bosy supply, They may not have HOK but that doesnt mean it isnt good.

I have used to BASF Charrisma colors, candies and pearls along with the rest of the R/M ling and have had very good experiences with them and at this point I wouldnt consider using anything else.

I was able check out the charrisma line a bit when I was at BASF, they definatly look really nice. I haven't had a chance to spray them yet though. BASF paint is also what I prefer using compares to PPG and Dupont, HOK. HOK does have some nice effect additives, prismatique, ect.

BASF

That's so true!!!!,I use to think HOK (House of Kolor)paint was the best paint they made. Not until I started going to school for automotive refinishing,HOK paint (candy finishes at least tend to fade there bases within certain amount of years. One of the students in the class has a cadillac with HOK paint for like 4 years and the paint is faded. Please don't think I'am hating on HOK paint's, but like ronnyg801 is saying ,RM Charrismas (BASF) products has by far the best products. I can say I SWEARE on BASF products.None of the products so far I used from BASF made a paint job in quality go to ****.
I love BASF products,Just becuase ,CHIP FOOSE uses them, and all HIGH END EUROPEAN CARS COME FROM FACTORY WITH THEM. Lamborghini,Ferrari,Maybach, just to name a few I'am done.

BASF(FTW)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!

My car is painted HOK kandy. It is candy cobalt blue. It was painted a silver base first then gold metallic then the candy cobalt blue I will see if I can get a pic up. You might not be able to tell by the pics but in real life it is pretty nice. I have had the car about a year now since repaint no fade yet(knock on wood). But I aslo cover my car with a car cover all the time.
