does anyone else have an issue with the original Honda paint flaking off? what can I do?

 

Repaint it. It's 20+ years old. My clear coat has been flaking for years. It adds character

 

looks like cancer. friends call it the cancer car. do I need to get the whole car sanded down to remove all the flaking clear coat or even down to the paint / bare metal? to ensure when I paint over it that it will not continue to fake off after I repaint it and ruin the new paint job? can I get a simple one day paint job? or should I spend the bucks to sand it all off? need to sell the car eventually-trying to start a family soon.

 

Cheap respray if you're going to sell the car. I might not even bother unless the rest of the car is really nice. You know KBB value is probably $700

If you're selling the car soon I wouldn't even bother. Repainting it won't bring that much money back.
