Default Fender Ties?

My 94' EG Si Honda front fenders are no longer holding the front bumper. The connection point for connecting bolt is worn weathered warped & weak! need something to hold it together. I've seen photos of other civics this old with brackets or ties of some sort, holding them together. Anyone have a clue on where to acquire some? thx...

use a Christmas tree bit and drill a new hole and then put a threaded bracket and bolt it together. and spray some primer so it doesn't rust on the new hole you made.

Primer isnt waterproof... You would be better scuffing it up alittle and just going to spray paint. Unless it its Epoxy primer, that is waterproof but most rattle cans arnt epoxy

use the self etch primer in a can, it's designed to bond to bare metal, then top coat with a quality automotive spray paint, dont use household spray paint, even rattle can automotive paint is far better then that junk

rattle can automotive paint is still spray paint... Its all junk in my mind, I would do it right the first time. Primer (except epoxy)tho is porus and will absorb water so it needs to be covered bu something that isnt.

I used it while I was doing all the body work to my car and was still driving it, didnt have a single issue with rust. The reason the self etch is relatively recent in the cans, is they had to invent a can the stuff wouldn't etch through. I have a lot of experience with the duplicolor self etch, I've been very happy with it
