Body Kit Removal??

Body Kit Removal??
So I have come across a good deal on a civic with a dohc vtech swap and some other various thing.
I am thinking of purchasing
Problem is, is that it has a body kit that is riveted to the actual frame and its really not my style at all. But the car is a great deal. My questions is there anyway to remove this and patch it? I would end up replacing it with a stock or less "showy" kit. .
But I have a friend who's father owns a body shop so cost isn't to much of a factor, I am just curious if anyone has ever done this before and with what results.
Thanks!

Well from my experience its not the rivets or screws thats the hard part- its the adhesive. Hopefully they didnt use any on your car, but when i took off the old kit on my car (I am still working on the new kit right now) there was soooo much adhesive. Tape, contact cement, caulking, hard rubber, soft rubber- you name it I had it! Its incredibly hard to remove without seriously damaging whats left underneath.
So not only am i dealing with the rivets, i have all that adhesive and alot of rust and dent repair- BUT, little by little its looking really great! I will have to post the new pics of my car when I get closer to being done. I just started the painting process 2 weeks ago.
