The upper part of the lower hose is just a cover because of that stupid plastic housing. I'm eventually either going to find a housing that will bolt to this engine, or have one made.

after reading through this thread yesterday and today i did a timing belt themostat and water pump on a 86 300zx have you tried to see if that water neck fits on the vk motor? its a 3 bolt aluminum i don't have a vk in the shop today to measure or compare but its a thought

i'll get you some bolt to bolt measurements i'm doing another one tomorrow, also i have a few other things laying around the shop that might work. nice project i have always loved any Z or ZX car nissan has always paid my bills for the past 10 years almost

Drove the car out of the garage today for the first time. Gave it a bath for the first time in two years. Now it's headed to work for exhaust, alignment, and ac refrigerant. More detailed pictures and hopefully a better movie are forthcoming.

Yes, and the interior as well. I spent extra on parts and in time making sure all the factory gauges work. I also drilled and tapped the factory shift **** to go onto the new shift lever. I'll get some pics of the exhaust soon, but I brought it out the factory location, with a subtle muffler and no tip. If you didn't know the car didn't come with a 3" exhaust, you'd never look at it otherwise, well, until I rev it up.
