Been driving the car for almost two weeks now.

^^ ha HA!
You put a lot of work into that. Can't wait to see the progress of your next thread. I love seeing older neglected cars get restored and upgraded.

Its actually made by mitsu. I'm sick of my civic and crappy fwd, time to buy a REAL car. that is something thats RWD and stick. My civic is stick too. You just cant do anything to a D17 engine, so it was either spending thousands on a K Swap or for a lot less buy a Conquest. yeaiboi

Don't pay any mind to those "gay" comments, your choice is perfect for where the scene is heading. Honda is today's lego blocks...easy to snap together and only come in a few colors and shapes. They are used to display a collection of "JDM/Rare" parts, a trophy shelf, per say.
It's nice to see these cars being restored and used. They were impressive just to look at back in the days and still are. The fender flares are sexy as hell, especially when you have the 83-85 hood swap.
Not my car, just a reference.
I use to own 2 StarQuests. An 89 TS-I Conquest in Red and a Sonic Metallic Blue Starion ESI-R, 89 also. Both was stolen and stripped, this was back in 91. They had Top End Performance heads, upgraded injectors, downpipe and catback. I removed the honeycomb filter in the MAS and cut an opening in the stock Air Filter Bucket and used a K&N Filter. It use to make a gobbling sound between shifts.
Keep us posted on your fixes and mods.
Good luck!

Nice build. My first car was a 88 tsi it was so fun to drive and a bitch to work on but it was worth it. You should look into swapping a non jet-valve head on it. Good luck with the build.

I already has the Jet valve delete.
Further plans are to fix the AC or remove it, probably doesnt work cause of all the bad temp sensors.
custom made exhaust, 3" no cat/muffler
custom short throw shifter
cleaning up the interior, securing lose panels, new speakers, head unit, gauges things like that
cleaning up the engine bay, wire tuck
POR 15 underneath the car
and prepping it for paint, lots of dents and ding.
after all that and the car is back to its glory I will do an MPI upgrade

With winter around the corner I'll soon be putting it in storage. I think I will just put it on jacks and put a car cover over it.

I see these cars on the road and know so little. I'm curious about the true potential of them. It is good to see someone actually tackling this project. Stick with it man!
