Re: lil devil, sneak peek
originally we were going to run meth/nitrous on the wet system, but that has been changed. the whole n20 system just got re-done, we moved the wet shot to the top of the manifold and added a small dry shot as well to help combat bogging off the line.
i'll post up some pics of the new set up as soon as the owner of the car gives me a green light to.

Re: lil devil, sneak peek
the wet shot is separate from the dry shot, they do two different things.
i said the dry is to keep the car from bogging, i never said it was for spool up. by bogging i mean if the driver flubs the launch at al the ecu will fire the dry shot to keep the car from bogging, the system works off the wheel speed sensors.
the car has is still a 2.0, so it doesn't spool as fast as we'd like, thus the wet shot.
the car is running a pro efi that runs both n20 systems. not the driver

At this level of racing, if you are still questioning if the driver is going to mess up a launch to the point you added a ticking time bomb fuse i.e. a dry shot, then he doesn't need to be driving the car. With an antilag setup that car WILL NOT bog on the line, period. Your driver would have to be so horrible that he'd get booted off of the track lol. You really don't want to make it any more complicated than it needs to be. all these additional secondary systems like meth and or dry shots are unnecessary and in the end can hurt.
A simple anti lag setup with a NLTS system running through AEM with gear/rpm controlled nitrous injection (also through the AEM) will net you a beast that not only will rip off the line like a bat out of hell, but will avoid the problems that comes from over complicating a proven system... If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Re: lil devil, sneak peek
I understand the concept, I have built many Evos/DSMs and other 4G63 platforms. It matters not that the 2 systems do separate things when the wet can be used to accomplish both. All this can be done with a simple stand alone unit that requires nothing additional. The concept of doing what you proposed is as awkward as your idea for running meth and nitrous on a large framed drag build. How many 4gs of this caliber have you guys built previously, just wondering...

we are using a pro-efi and and the n20 is set up how the tuner (jason seibels, the owner of pro-efi, also the brain behind the aem box) requested it to be set up. the wet system is no longer using meth at all. just fuel. this is the same n20 set up that saad saad uses now. is it overly complicated? yeah, i agree with you there, but the owner of the car and the tuner want it that way. the car is being used as a test bed for pro-efi functions/abilities.
i have personally built several evo's all producing 500hp or more and 4 producing over 700 among other makes/models, using formulas probably not unlike your own. i personally think the simplest way is the best way, but this car was built to be different. i.e. the quick spool valve and crazy n20 set up. it may not be your favorite way or mine, but this car will function. and should hopefully be in the 9's

Re: lil devil, sneak peek
I know what that's like.. Even when you don't want to, you gotta build it like the customer wants.. Well best wishes to you guys, hope it works as planned and there is another beastly 4G on the streets. All aside it is definitely a gorgeous car and looks well put together. Plus, I need some more Evos to bully on the strip.
