Bought this a week ago. It's my first VW--a 2008 DSG that's stock as a rock. Plans are to eventually do a turbo-back exhuast, intake, tune, tint, and maybe some wheels/tires if I feel baller. I'm not a fan of the stretched/slammed/crazy offset look, though, so it's probably not going to get lowered.

An APR chip really wakes those 2.0Ts up. That, a good exhaust, and some H&R coils will have it looking and performing very well. No need for poke/stretch (I hate that trend too) unless you have your girlfriend with you.

I am leaning towards an APR reflash at the moment. Ideqally I would like to get a TBE (or at least a downpipe) and intake and run their stage 2 map, but I'm not sure how it will do on 91 octane California ****-gas. They offer a 91 octane stage 1 tune, but I would like have a slithgly more aggressive tune with the other bolt-ons.

My old turbo volvo was fine at 19psi on 91 octane, but it also only had 8.5:1 compression.

I'd go for stage 1, and assuming you have all the supporting mods, you can upgrade to stage 2 for free. At least my local APR dealer does that, I'm not sure about anywhere else.

just got back from H20i ahhhh gotta love all the Honda love down there! to bad it rained though still alot of nice looking cars riding around.

I found out about a shop that is a Revo dealer literally 5 min from my house. They have a dyno and do a free 5hr trial of the software. I'll probably go and get a stage 1 91 octane tune in a few weeks. I figure if I decide to do bolt ons I can get the car re-flashed, like you said.
