HELP PLEASE
I have a 04 pilot. The check engine and vtm4 lights are on. Have taken it to a couple of a place to be diagnosed. Came back with random misfire s. So far I have replaced plugs, coils, regapped cylinders, erg valve, pcv valve. Still no improvement to the problem. Does anyone have knowledge of how to get this fixed?

Re: HELP PLEASE
Believe it or not, it could be the abs speed ring on one of the wheels. Or not. Hard to track down some of these issues.
Have you replaced any wheel/suspension components recently?

Re: HELP PLEASE
I haven't had any suspension work done. I have asked a couple of the shops that looked at it about the and. They both told me if that was happening it would probably put out a code. I'm not sure where or what the speed ring does? Can you give me any more info on that? Thanks for the help. Your right its hard to figure out what's up with this thing.

Re: HELP PLEASE
With a CEL, I bet it's throwing a code too. Get the code read and see if it matches up anything on this list from the 2006 FSM. The 2004 and the 2006 may be close enough for this to help. Notice the first 4 items all relate to wheel speed sensors. If you've ever had to replace a rotor, I think there's a ring associated with the ABS system/VTM-4 light that can only be installed one way. If installed backwards, I think it can generate a VTM-4 light. It's a complex system involving the ABS, etc. so you really need to get a factory service manual or take it to a shop that can use the HDS to help track it down. It's been a while since I read about this so am hoping my memory is accurate enough to help.
