03 Odyssey EX-L Misfiring. Only vehicle and Very tight budget
2003 Odyssey throwing a SOLID CEL I pulled codes and got P0304 P0305 P0306 and P0300 so since I currently cannot afford new coil packs I went to my local pick and pull and grabbed 3 coil packs out of a wrecked 2003 Odyssey LX over the weekend. This morning leaving the house i get CEL again this time for P0305. Went back to the yard and picked up two more from the same van put one of them in and now i got CEL for P0302 P0303 P0304 P0305 and P0300. Been noticing lower than usual idle also and stumbles if i blip the gas also if that has anything to do. currently have Bosch Platinum spark plugs in there that i put in in March 2015 so they have about 26,000 miles on them. I need help I'm very broke right now and this is my only available transportation to and from work. CEL has been on solid everytime its popped up. just trying to figure out why the sudden headache with this thing....
Thanks,
2003 Odyssey EX-L 169,114 miles

I would put OEM spark plugs back in it. I've read of issues running other than OEM spark plugs in Honda engines. I don't know if that's universal or not. For my J35 engines, I can pick up 6 OEM plugs from Amazon for $60 shipped. All those codes are for misfires. Hopefully, that's all it is.

Which ones are the OEM ones? NGK platinums right? I'm guessing misfire codes with a solid CEL points to either failing spark plugs or an angry Honda engine. I've heard peeps at other Honda forums and also the Audi peeps that NGKs are better than Bosch

Same here. I don't know why Honda engines don't appear to like Bosch plugs. I'd have to look in your owner's manual to know what plugs are OEM.

okay so i went ahead and put in NGK platinums in this morning and the van seems happier now. Went on the freeway and seemed to have more punch and no CEL so crossing my fingers. The old Bosch double platinums looked a bit tired after just 26,000 miles
