Default Suggestions for meet locations

I figured we might as well get an idea of some decent places to have other meets.

I know some suggestions have been made that I and others don't think would work out as well. I know the last meet (XXX Rootbeer) wasn't the best for some people because they didn't like the lots being separated. I can't think of too many places that fill the following requirements and have just one big lot though.

Oh, and it would probably be best that it's in the Puget Sound area, since that's where most of the population is centralized.

Each location would preferably follow these requirements.

The location...
(1) Has enough parking for 350+ cars.
(2) Will allow us there.
(3) Has free admission.
(4) Has bathrooms nearby.
(5) Has food (so no one has to leave because they're hungry).

I think those are the basics.

If there is an owner of the property that we could get a hold of beforehand, we could make sure it's okay for us to be there on that day.

And if anyone wants info on Park & Rides, here is a link to a site listing them all.

Here are the suggested locations so far (and a few already used). They are listed from North to South.

First, a map showing all the locations with known addresses.

It's more of a question of if we can use them.

Good point, not to familiar with the seattle area so i cant be of much help. I just know the tacoma dome has A-G of open parking lots suitable for thousands of cars just sitting there

i say we just find a huge lot. a classic ht meet in a large lot. i didnt like how we had to fight for parking among people who weren't part of the HT meet at xxx and also how we had to j-walk across the street.

one large united lot. freshjuicebox suggested BCC park n ride.

I added the suggestions thus far up top. If anyone has any other good or bad views on anything, please post about it.

I don't know all of the locations, so I had to fill in what I do already know.

"No food" is easy to solve with a BBQ, but the "no bathrooms" thing worries me a bit more because unlike you boys, I can't go pee on a tree. And in the event that I (or any other girl attending) tried, I'm afraid someone would try to get voyeuristic just because I'm a girl.

Oh, and "no food" just means nothing next door or across the road. There might be food down the road, but I'm not sure everyone would want to walk down the road to get it. I'm trying to encourage people to keep their cars at the meet, because others leave when they see a couple cars leave, and so on and so forth.

250-400 cars would make for a difficult cruise too. It just begs for police attention, traffic snarls, racing and accidents.

Maybe we could all have mini meets which then cruise out to another location (such as a beach or state park or something - basically someplace where most people would have to drive a bit too - thus making the cruise worthwhile to most - a cruise to Issaquah would have been short for you).

No the one on 128th. I also believe there are bathrooms close by because there is a baseball field there now.

You're in Mill Creek. Go check some time. It's better to know all this before a meet so we'll be prepared.

Also, that brings to mind that there might be a baseball game going on the day of the meet (which would probably be a Saturday or Sunday).

Dont know if anyones interested.

Theres a Honda meet on aug 19th in Vancouver BC. It would be cool to have a change of pace have the meet somewhere different.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by kenny_son &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Ok since the last honda meet was a success even with the rain, ive decided to make a 2nd annual honda meet.

This is open to ANY HONDA/ACURA!!!! I will be posting the meet details on various honda/acura car forums. except for ricescene.net although everyone is pretty much on there.

last year we initially met at the PNE parking lot and chilled there for awhile and stood in the rain for a bit. And then we all drove and moved the meet to the underground parking lots at UBC at the bottom level which was pretty much empty and we had a "JDM Theory" kind of meet.(there are pictures floating around if you dont know what i mean).

i wanted to do the same thing but i have a feeling that the PNE parking lot will be full from ppl going into the PNE. so im thinking we could just all meet at the underground parking lot at UBC and then all cruise out and then meet up with everyone again at the top of cypress because im pretty sure we wont all be able to go to cypress together but we could try.

Anyways below are the meet details:

DAY : Sunday August 19, 2007
TIME : 1:00pm - whenever
LOCATION : Underground Parking Lots at UBC. forgot the name of it but ill try and go there and find out.
CRUISE TO : Leave UBC at 2-3pm ish maybe and then cruise/meet at top of cypress.
WHO : Open to any honda/acura. invite friends, family, etc.

Details may change a bit as time comes along, but i will try my best to update every forum.</TD></TR></TABLE>

so i was driving around and i ran across one the biggest parking lots that could possibility host the next big meet. it's a boeing parking lot over by boeing field. on the weekends that thing is empty. my brother works there and he said that it's even empty during the week too ever since the main head quarters moved over to Kansas. i usually just see truckers go there. but this is huge. parking spots for well over 500 cars and that's just the nicer paved size.

i would suggest a place like that if we were to throw a over the top meet of the year that of thing.

I thought someone mentioned that several months back (for another meet) and it was explained that people get kicked out of there very quickly.

I might be thinking of another lot though.

Thats because a major airplane supplier doesnt want random people squatting near billions of dollars of equipment... im sure if we asked the right person and security was aware of what was going on that it would be cool
