Default Car Registration

Question: My girl is in Olympia, WA and I'm in HI and her registration is due tomorrow. Does she have to get emission testing to get registration renew? Or any advise?

Thank you.

I think it depends on the year of her car. Her year different years of cars need to be tested. Need to check the DEQ website.

Truck is 2004 Tacoma V6. Ill check that site. I'm just worried that she'll get pulled over and have to pay a heavy ticket. Can she tell that cop, I'm going to deal with it now?

She can say whatever she wants, but if the cop don't believe her that's something different. Usually they send a notice 30 days prior to it expiring. She should have just got it done only cost like $20 for test and $50 for new reg not that bad.
