Functional vs. Show
What are your guys' setups usually like? Are your parts all for show or do they actually hold some kind of functionality behind it? Do you track/autocross with your car? I'd love to hear the responses.

Re: Functional vs. Show
I do and find that 90% don't and that is being lenient.. The few that say they do will actually be serious about it where as a majority will be the type who do 'cruise' runs through hills or a couple weds drags and now are racers...

Re: Functional vs. Show
What kind of numbers do you put down? I'm always down for a run, I can bring one of my DSMs or I can trailer in one of the DSMs with my truck and let you pick if you wanna race the truck or the car lol.
But on a serious note if you're putting down some good numbers I'd definitely be down. Its hard to find many guys actually doing more than hard parking nowadays.

Koni yellows ground controls
skunk 2 lca's
buddy club camber kit
Few different braces with a nice ride height/ weight reduction the set up is pretty solid and does well. Still looking to get asr subframe brace and rear sway and it'll be good.
Also check this out I thought it had some good info http://farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets.html

200whp/137wtq N/A 1.8 and suspension components to suit my needs in a somewhat mess up/rice out EF hatch. Won many, lost to a few. The plan was to have a fun car that had decent power and handling to get me up to Reno and S.Tahoe and do a couple of canyon cruise without attracting the wrong kinds of people.
I love the show car look and props to the folks who put in time and the attention to details to make it look that great. But, I would not just be able to sleep at night. Thinking, that if it's going to be there in the morning or when your going to an event hoping that nothing will happen to the paint job/exterior mods that you cut off your left nut for(unless your balling).
For functionality you just got to drop some $$$$ for what will work for you. For show you gotta drop EXTRA $$$$$$ that will work for you and for everyone else that will be judging your ride.

Yeah, the shop I work for (Fat Cat Motorsports) specializes in track/autocross. I'll definitely tell my boss to look at it (even though I'm sure he knows all of this lol).
