Mainer list.
Where would you guys want to meet? Theres a track down the road from where I live.. that would be nice, but I dont expect you guys to all drive 90 minutes to come up here. You're mostly in Lewiston / Auburn right?
hey guys i got a question for ya, my 74 plymouth is gettin shipped up next week and it needs some work, you know of any shops where i can get all new wiring done and and all new interior put in?
^^ damn that looks sketchy. haha
finally made some progress on the turbo project.
started the install today. got a good amount accomplished in the short time we worked on it.
got the charge piping and intercooler mocked up. heat exchanger mounted and coolant lines run. turbo clocked and bolted up. oil return cut to length. down pipe fitted and tac'd up, ready to be fully welded tomorrow when we get back to work.
pretty good day overall. should have everything finished up tomorrow morning then it's time for a good street tune session.
pictures:
engine bay, doesn't look like much was done since the intercooler and lower pipe were removed.

turbo and manifold in their new home.

downpipe tac'd up ready for welding.

my buddy justin after a good day of work.

I went to the track today for my very first time ever.. ran a 9.3 @ 82mph.. spinning literally the entire way down the track across the finish line. I was pretty surprised how difficult it was for me to hook, its nothing like the street. What would a good target time and trap be for my car? 240whp civic 2000lbs street tires
so yeah im down to meet anywhere, ill be moving to Litchfield here in a few weeks so ill be close to lewiston/agusta so if you pick a time place and day ill be there

^ Sweet install! How are you going to tune it?
I tried launching my first few runs and ran 10s and 11s.. I would just pound the rev limiter in 1st and 2nd then either bog into 3rd or spin through 3rd depending on how hard I was beating on it. My good runs were no launch just rolling into 1st.. My reaction times were around 1.0, and my 60ft was 2.3-2.6

next time at the track try holding the rpms steady and slip the clutch and throttle together, don't be afraid to ride the clutch a little. if you haven't been, preload to prevent drive train shock.
