Hey guys, I live in York PA and I am currently in the middle of rebuilding my engine. It's an h22a1 that I am doing a mild all motor built on. It is my daily driver so Im tryin to get this thing running as soon as possible. I should have the head back some time this week but I have one issue. I do not have the equiptment or knowledge to degree my Brain Crower cams. I was just wondering if anyone on here would be willing to do it for me or knows of a shop that could. The engine is in the car right now and I dont plan on pulling it unless you feel that it is necessary. I'll obviously pay, so just pick a reasonable price if you are interested. The car is in my cousins heated garage in Mount Wolf PA, and there are plenty of tools there.

SO you want to dial in your cam degree? to be honest with you, that's something you should do when you get the car tuned not when you are getting the motor together. make sure everything is right first, i.e. base timing, valve lash, etc. It wont hurt the motor leaving it at Zero degree changes, and transversely, it will damage your motor setting degree wrong without seeing power curves. Hope this helps and save you a couple bucks until you get it tuned.

Once it is on the dyno I'll be adjusting the cam gears to get a bit more power. However to make sure that my engine doesn't grenade, I want to degree the cams. Its not about the powerband, its about the piston to valve clearance and the cams positioning in relation to the crank. Im using a 2-step rev limiter which throws something into the equation that an un-degree'd engine might not have to deal with also...

oh ok i understand what you're trying to do now. i think i know someone that can clay it to check the clearances.
