3rd Annual Danny Bair Memorial Race @ Beaver Springs
MARK YOUR CALENDARS! THIS IS A LOCAL RACING EVENT THAT YOU WON’T WANT TO MISS!
Here’s a brief background as to why we hold this event every year….
Daniel ‘Superman’ Bair (aka dbairgiggity on PAtuned.com) was a patient to Cystic Fibrosis. Nearly a year prior to this event taking place last year, Danny underwent a double lung transplant to hopefully make a full recovery from his lung disease. In September 2009, Danny ran into complications with his new lungs and in October of 2009, doctors found themselves deciding if Danny was strong enough to accept a new pair of lungs. Danny put up an amazing 6 week fight and tried his best to prove to the doctors he wasn’t too weak for a new set of lungs all while keeping a smile on his face. On October 27th, 2009 Danny passed away due to his complications with cystic fibrosis.
The 3rd Annual Danny Bair Memorial Race will be held at Beaver Springs Dragway(Beaver Springs Dragway) on OCTOBER 15TH, 2011.
Gates Open @ 9am and Time Runs start at 10am. There will be several hours of time runs before eliminations start, so you shouldn’t have any problems getting more than 5 runs down the track. This year the event includes the opportunity to win CASH! Gotta give 'Thanks' to our local forum PATUNED.COM and all the sponsors involved for making this happen. All sponsors of the race will be competing against each other in an exhibition class for ‘bragging rights’ to allow everyone else a chance at the cash purse.
