I'm in. I left ITR Expo with a woody for road-racing, and I'm told this is an even better experience. Is there any type of admission or necessary registration for non-drivers?

I just wanted to stick my head in and say hi. I'm going to be moving to Urbana/Champaign in August to start my Masters in Mechanical Engineering at UIUC. I just wanted to see if anyone was from the area and knew what shops are in the area and what to do in the area (autocrosses, HPDE's, etc.). I was only out there for a day or so to check out the school so I'm not really sure what there is to do. I loved the area and can't wait to move out there (even though the roads are all flat and straight).
I'm in the process of selling my 97 GSR and hoping to pick up an EK coupe which will see boost in its future. I'm slowly starting to learn about engines and tuning and am hoping to attend the EFI101 class in October up in Chicago. I'd like to find a decent shop in the area that I can get to know since I probably won't have a garage available at my apartment.

I'm moving out to Urbana a few weeks before classes so I may drive up there one day and check all three of them out. They all look good from what I saw on their websites.

I'm pretty sure they have it yearly.
I'll be the first to say, you'll be suprised at the diversity of the cars there. You will see people driving TT G35's and a skyline here and there, and then you will see a group of 10 ricers flyby.
I checked them all out. Any reason to avoid ONE6? I couldn't find any information on it which usually isn't good.

I figured not a lot happened in Chambana. It's just a little too small of a town to have its own tuning place.
What racetracks are in the area?
I'm not sure yet. I'll be shooting for a turbo D16 setup in the future and after four years of Engineering I'd like to say that I designed part of the turbo system. I was thinking maybe a custom manifold or an intake manifold. I'd probably go for the intake manifold and try something that hasn't been done before. Exhaust manifolds are extremely hard to design and super expensive. I just want to try something new and see how it works.
Domino, a few of my buddies went to U of I and managed to find a few things to do down there. Not sure how much he frequents Honda-tech anymore but shoot CRXDrew a PM. I know he did some AutoX events down there and a couple of his friends knew of some twisty country areas to play around in. He graduated last year so I'm not sure how much he'd know now but i think he'd be able to point you in the right direction. Tell him Brandon from RC told you.
