He found out that the the (clear) dist cap was sans oring, and upon inspection it was crusty and corroded inside, i'll bet that's it. We'll get our answer tomorrow.

The cam positioning sensor is in the DIST on these right?

I know the crank positioning sensor is down by the crank.

Wouldnt that throw a code if it did not work properly though.
