he shouldnt be whining if he was so confident that i was going to sell it to him for 8 and hold it for a week without a deposit to secure it. who knows what kinds of offers i could get in a weeks time. op needs to take a english class and state the story in a proper manner. Anyways, I would have sold it for the higher price too, the op did not put a deposit down on it anyways. Most people that say they are going to buy something in dont have the cash on hand that day to buy it are going to flake. Most people will just lie to the salesman and say they will come back and never do. I've had this happen plently of times to me. Get over it, If you had the 800 for the car you should have given him the whole 800 or atleast a deposit till you can get the car picked up.

oh and if the deposit was what he was worried about, then he shoulda asked me when i was there, i asked him if he could hold it for me he said yeah so i figured ok cool ill give him the cash then, i had the cash on me. it doesnt matter where i live or who i live with. the moral of the story is you should have bought the car the day you came down right then and there, dont expect SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW to hold a car for you .

 

The last thing I would do is tell someone where my house is and have them come there only to tell them its been sold. People are capable of doing some crazy things especially when they are angry. I guess you should of called him before he traveled to your house or see if he could offer a higher price. Oh wel its done and over now.

Um, if you plan on buying something be prepared! You should have had the cash with you and been going home with the car the first time you went there. If you wait its your own fault if its gone.

X2!!! if you wanted the car that bad you should have made him write a LEGAL PAPER documenting that he's willing hold it for you then put a deposit down for it. that way if he sells it underneath you you can take him to court. so YOUR MISTAKE! for driving 2 hours with no intention of showing him "REAL" proof that you're REALLY INTERESTED! let this be a lesson learn. dont drive to buy something without any money or written agreement.
