Default can anyone do a street tune for me in milwaukee area????

i have a d16y7 boosted on 7-8 pounds with a t3/t4 turbo, and walbro 255 with a p04 chipped on crome. car was tuned at first for a smaller turbo and only 3 pounds with a stock fuel pump. so now it needs a retune. is there anyone that can do a good street tune for me anywhere in southeastern wisconsin pretty much. i dont really want to go back to where i got it tuned the first time. thanks

A few enthusiasts that used to work at a few different local shops; working on our own right now. We have a number of high-ten/low-eleven second builds and tunes under our belt; some of those actually being D-series. Send me a PM for more info.

i'd rather pay $300 for a full tune on a dyno anyday rather then using the old butt dyno which may lead to thousands of dollars..Do you even have the right tools do do a street tune.. any how a good street tune will only get your air/fuel ratios close to correct . Don't even bother with timing because you just can't risk it without a dyno. Don't even try to load your engine by pressing the brakes to get into your load cells.

remember, timing give you HP not A/f ratios. (a/f=antiknock)

I hope to god you wouldn't use your *** as a judge; and you'd actually run a wideband, an ostrich etc. Street tunes are a viable and cost effective option. We also do a dyno tunes, up to the customer obviously. I have no problem running my current $10,000+/6 month build on a street tune. Eventually I'll toss it up on a dyno, but for now my street tune is more than sufficient. And where did you plan on finding a $300 dollar dyno tune?

i will never street tune shiet , except to dial in my crusing zones, deadzones and tip ins and out only after my dyno tunes are done perfect at part throttle-wot. Ask any real tuner in the world and they will say the same.. street tuning don't get you anywhere but stressing the crap out of the motor and scratching heads.

where would i get a $300 tune, beeyond engineering like qouted above as for me, we've (shop) been tuning cars for the past 15 yrs. under everyones noses for the top SCCA's rank world challenge/grand am cars all on our dynapak..

btw, your $10,000 build is no good without a proper tune.

Can anyone explain why everybody wants to tune with chrome? I have never seen it work better than Hondata. Usually most people say it because its free, which isn't true, its free for the base version which does not come with real datalogging so the partial throttle will be off which IMO is the most important part in a street car. The Hondata S100 is only $195 and requires the same socketing as Chrome.
