Default Where to get RHD conversion done.

Im currently in the process of doing a right hand drive conversion on my car, and I started to drill out the spot welds and decided it would be easier to have a shop do the firewall swap. Are there any shops in the eastern Pennsylvania area that do this?

It's not a popular thing to be doing, because it is enormously expensive and you do not get anything out of it.

I know that James Evans's shop in Baltimore has done this, but anything done there is going to be expensive.

I'd really reconsider this if I were you. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish, but it doesn't make normal sense.

Not to me, anyway.

If you want a RHD car buy one. Changing a usdm car to RHD is a waste of money and time and in the end you have a hacked up car with the steering wheel on the wrong side.

Import one if you're set on having one.

Umm, its not "hacked up" if its done right. Also, does that mean that cars that are worked on by body shops are "hacked up"? Get your crap straight.

I say you do it to complete your car, dont let any [pejorative] tell you what you should do on your car and dont let these idiot haters tell you otherwise.. do it and do it right.

You obviously dont live in Cali. Also, to register one might be a pain and expensive depending on where you live... do your research, if its cheaper to buy a real RHD and easy to register.. do it. gspeed will hook you up, im shorsh.

Also, RHD JDM cars are getting more and more expensive, some old cars costing as much as 6K+ and up.. so you be the judge, you still spend either way, it's all about the money now. Lol, I just love it when they say its "expensive", when you can get a USDM car for cheap, buy a 2K rhd clip and another 1500 to do it, add it up, it's way cheaper than getting a RHD and legalizing it, so stop talking your **** and get the facts straight. What it comes down to is how you play the system... if you have hookups.. your build will be cheap or me... I'm solo and indie on my build, so it has been up and down for me.
